After deciding I needed help losing weight, I met with Justine and a bond was formed. Originally, I expected one would just jump on a bike and sweat like hell. Sure sweat was included, but she highlighted there were other important aspects to long-term weightloss, including going beyond the physical. In addition to exercise, our sessions included healthy discussion and debate on implementing positive habits and actions, with the objective of me still maintaining a social life. Not only did I achieve this AND lose weight, but I picked up a more flexible (and overall healthier) view to living.

In the two years Justine has been my Coach, she has guided me through building my strength and fitness after the birth of my first child, through my second pregnancy, and again getting back into shape after the birth of my second baby.

Justines’ excellent knowledge of Nutrition, Movement and especially Pre, Pregnancy and Post-Natal Care, saw me continue in the Gym up to just three weeks before giving birth.  Compared to my first pregnancy (where I did no exercise) I was extremely surprised by how much easier the  Pregnancy, Labour and Birth was, and how quickly my body recovered afterwards.  During my first pregnancy I’d put on a significant amount of weight,  yet in my second, my weight gain was halved!

My faith in Justine and her coaching methods prompted me to start back training with her, three months after giving birth.  During this time she helped me not only lose weight (2kgs lighter than pre-pregnancy) but also regain my strength,  helped guide me through a major life transition, and in adjusting to being a mother of two!  During my sessions with her, I’ve learnt the importance of putting myself first and particularly the importance of correct Nutrition which has had a beneficial effect on my whole family.

I hold Justine in the highest esteem as someone who is an absolute expert in the area of holistic health – Mental, Physical, Emotional and Spiritual.  I am so grateful I found her when I did, otherwise I don’t think I would have made it through this major life transition as smoothly – whilst still managing to look and feel great!

In 2004 I unexpectedly found myself as full time live-in carer for my 98 year old Grandmother.  For those past five years I’d been struggling to ease the stress I was feeling both physically and mentally. In essence I had lost all trace of who I really was, and making time for myself was considered a luxury. In searching for a solution I joined a gym.  But after a series of random visits, many gym payments later and a knee operation (after overdoing Boot Camp) I realised not only was I bored, but confused with what I should be doing.

Through a fortunate twist of fate, I met Justine who helped me realise that true Health is about fitness inside and out – Mind, Body and Spirit.  I know it may sound like a cliché but once I embraced this concept, my life started to truly turn around! I learnt about being consistant as a practice, not just an ideal. Through her support and guidance, I followed a Lifestyle, Nutrition and Exercise Program that was meant for ME – a woman of 53 years of age with physical limits and much Stress in her life.

This program really worked, now at 55 I am a much healthier person both inside and out.  I feel better physically, I’ve lost weight, and most of my aches and pains have ceased. My misguided eating habits and confusion about Nutrition have been resolved as well (which I’d always found to be the biggest challenge!)  Most importantly I feel positive about life and living it in a healthy balanced way – I’ve learnt how to really breathe again!

Before I met Justine I’d believed a program such as this was a luxury I couldn’t afford, but if you are questioning whether it is worth it, I cannot recommend it highly enough, the changes you’ll make to your life will be priceless!
