Friday Night Feast: Where great people meet to EAT (and mix with fun, like-minded people)
Food plays an instrumental role in life, much more than we often give thought to. In order to think well, move well and be well we need the right fuel to do it! Bring a plate, be inspired to taste and cook new foods, and connect over the dinner table.
Where: EB HQ 2/122-126 Katoomba Street, Katoomba, Blue Mountains
When: Friday 5th August 6:30pm (once a month)
Bring a Meal…
- Get involved in cooking and sourcing local, fresh, organic REAL FOODS
- Learn Why, What and How to make conscious food choices
- Understand the importance of sourcing and processing
- Have fun, connecting with like-minded people over good food and good conversation!
- Improve your relationship with food
- Learn delicious new recipes and food combinations
- Be inspired and motivated to make small managable changes in your lifestyle – not just in your kitchen!
Source Local, Sustainable, Organic I’m not going to lie here, sometimes this can get tricky, but that’s one of the objectives of Friday Night Feasts. Sourcing real foods is going to be easier once we get together and share our experiences . Just bring along a dish and you can look to replace and source more ingredients at the next dinner.
Keep it REAL – that is the foods we eat, need to be as alive as we are! We tend to stick to the golden rule… “If it wasn’t around 10,000 years ago, we probably shouldn’t eat it. Imitation food like things that we leave alone include processed/refined foods/products containing soy, unprepared grains/ wheat products, and cheap hydrogenated vegetable oils such as Canola.
Bring a plate to share Each person can choose to make an entrée, a main meal or a dessert. You don’t have to make it fancy, in fact we specialise in SIMPLE. Just cook with Love and you can’t go wrong. Of course if you fancy yourself as a bit of a contender for the next Masterchef, we welcome it too
Bring your friends and family We want everyone involved, to show people how easy it can really be. (Let us know if you’re coming and what you might be making). If you need ideas, have questions or ideas- just let me know.
RSVP ph:0400323725 or email: justine@empoweredbeginnings.com to let us know you’re attending, and what you will be making so we can set you a place at the table (and ensure a great variety of dishes)
